Peanut Butter and Chocolate Protein Waffles

This is a super fast way to meal prep your breakfasts for the week if you’re running short on time.  Plus they are super tasty and the added protein makes the waffles more filling than regular waffles.

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Waffle:

1 ½ cups of Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Dark Chocolate Flavor

1 extra large egg

3 Tablespoons of liquid egg whites

1 ½ cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

For the Peanut Butter Waffle:

1 ½ cups of Kodiak Cakes Power Cakes Crunchy Peanut Butter Flavor

1 extra large egg

3 Tablespoons of liquid egg whites

1 ½ cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Directions

  1. Preheat waffle iron.

  2. Prepare each batter in separate bowls by mixing power cake mix, eggs, egg whites, and milk.  Stir until well combined and the power cake mix is all wet.

  3. Pour enough chocolate batter into the waffle iron until only one half of the waffle iron is covered.  Pour the peanut butter batter over the other half of the waffle iron.  Cook until desired crispness.

Yields 8 waffles

Meal Prep Ideas

Store the waffles in the freezer.  Reheat waffles in the microwave for one minute on high.  Remove from microwave and separate waffle into quarters.  Take one quarter of the waffle and place into a toaster.  My toaster crisps them up well on setting number “4”.
