HEY, I'M HALEY
I'm the coach behind Onyx Athletic Performance. I help women actually get strong without working out three times a day.
Before I started coaching women, I got my degree in Athletic Training and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I've helped people reduce their pain, recover from surgeries, improve their movement quality, and get in shape without pain for over a decade.
When I'm not coaching I enjoy Back to the Future marathons, getting strong AF, playing the electric guitar, cooking healthier versions of my favorite foods, and spending time with my husband and two daughters.

WHY DID I MAKE A PUSH UP PROGRAM
If you want to get strong, mastering bodyweight exercises is the foundation.
A strong push up is like a one way street to strength.
There are a lot of exercises you can do to build your pushing strength like the bench press, chest flys, tricep extensions, and the chest press machine. But getting good at these exercises isn't an effective way to get better at push ups. It's not a two way street.
On the other hand if you can master the push up, all of your pushing exercises will get stronger and easier. Push ups will make you stronger in a way that other exercises can't.
That's why I created the 90 Day Push Up, so women can master the push up and find their strength without wasting time doing knee push ups.

I was unsure how a digital training program would work and if I could stay motivated. I didn’t know what other exercises to do besides knee push ups. I was worried my body would get too tired from a workout every day.
But Haley's interaction on the app was A+ and it did help me stay motivated. The instructional videos are EXTREMELY helpful and the build-in rest days (stretch day) plus mixing up the workout kept it from feeling like I was just trying (and failing) over and over.
This program is just the right combination of hard work and reward. Haley explains everything and the progress is so easy to measure and see. Before starting coaching I was overwhelmed with the traditional way of calorie counting and felt it was a too big of task to tackle. My main focus for working out was weight loss and moving the scale.
Now I feel like I have the tools to manage my nutrition and I am not overwhelmed. I am comfortable with weight and my main goals are strength and maintaining a healthy body. The number on the scale does not have the same control over me as before.
Haley's coaching has helped me plan my meals and create a meal timing schedule so I am making better food choices. And since I now know how to plan out my meals, I do not grab something quick (and often unhealthy) as often as I did before. Thanks to Haley, I'm trying new recipes with my meal plan and I don't worry about the scale.
